In the morning session, we will walk you through the full traditional process of preparing natural indigo dye. Because natural fermentation takes several days to complete, we will transition in the afternoon to our pre-fermented, ready-to-use indigo dye vats so you can experience dyeing the textiles yourself.

If you have not arranged transportation for your Sumba adventure yet, just get in touch with us! We are happy to help arrange a vehicle or a convenient pickup for you. If you prefer to travel independently, Grab is now available and quite reliable during the daytime in Waingapu.

To keep the experience personal and hands-on, we host private sessions. The standard workshop price covers up to 2 participants. If you are planning to join with a larger group, let us know in advance so we can adjust the price according to the additional material costs.

Yes, a traditional home-cooked lunch is included in your booking. Please note that while we serve authentic local meals, we do not operate as a full restaurant, so our menu options are limited. If you have strict dietary requirements or preferences, you are welcome to use the lunch break to explore one of the local restaurants nearby.

Absolutely! You will take home the piece of textile you dyed during the workshop. Additionally, if you would like to bring home more, we always have a collection of genuine, handcrafted ikat textiles available for purchase directly from our stock.
